  Dane embarked upon his stellar career in the field of Addictive Studies in 2009 as a Substance Abuse Counselor with Spectrum Health Systems, a notable state government contractor for Georgia’s Department of Corrections, at Valdosta State Prison. His ability to absorb valuable insight about addiction and his ability to master due diligence paved the way for Dane to be credentialed by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Certification Board of Georgia, a board who has distinguished international rights. Dane understood the desiderium of the community and did not just settle for being a credentialed clinician, but to further expound his clinical competency, Dane's postgraduate studies was a degree from Grand Canyon University in Addiction Counseling with the rights to seek professional licensure. He quickly matriculated to senior leadership and his current status as Quality Improvement Specialist tasks him as the first line of contact in dealing with programming infrastructures such as trainings, corrective action plans, and staff development. In addition, he is also a 2-year employee of the staff here at Bridgeway Recovery Center where he is a Therapist/Group Facilitator part time.

  In addition to his work for the past almost 15 years, Dane provides clinical supervision to those seeking to become certified in the field of addiction counseling as either a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor or Certified Clinical Supervisor. His expertise has created opportunities for a larger milieu wherein he has been a successful lecturer at the statewide 2-day GDC Counselors’ Supervisor’s conference for the past several years. He is also a proud advocate for the substance abuse professional’s community. His current credentials include Master Addiction Counselor certification, Clinical Supervisor certification, and Co-occurring Disorders Professional Diplomate certification along with the highly esteemed Substance Abuse Professional-DOT distinction.
