Rachel Albritton is originally from Central Florida and moved to Valdosta in 2007 after honorably serving in our United States Navy. She earned a B.S. in Psychology (2013) and an MSW (2015) from Valdosta State University. During graduate school, she completed internships in the Colquitt County School System and at the North Florida/South Georgia VA in an inpatient hospice setting.
Over the past nine years, Rachel has gained extensive experience in geriatric psychiatric and dementia inpatient care, outpatient care for children, adolescents, and adults, crisis management, and working with families through their care plans. Additionally, she has supported veterans with life changes and complex trauma cases.
Rachel is trained in several therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, CBT for chronic pain, Substance Use Disorder or Depression, DBT, and IFS. She has been a group leader for both mandated substance groups and voluntary mood/depression groups. A firm believer in change through small steps, Rachel aims to find the small spark of joy in a client's day and help it grow.
