Rachel Albritton is originally from Central Florida and moved to the Valdosta area in 2007 after serving in the United States Navy. She graduated with a B.S. in Psychology in 2013 and an MSW in 2015 from Valdosta State University. During graduate school, Rachel completed internships in the Colquitt County School System and at the North Florida/South Georgia VA in an inpatient hospice setting.
Over the past nine years, Rachel has worked extensively in geriatric psychiatric and dementia inpatient care, outpatient care for children, adolescents, and adults, and crisis management. She has also supported families through their care plans and worked with veterans facing life changes and complex trauma cases.
Rachel is trained in various therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, CBT for chronic pain, substance use disorder, depression, DBT, and IFS. She has led groups ranging from mandated substance groups to voluntary mood/depression groups. Rachel believes in change through small steps and strives to find and nurture the small spark of joy in each client's day.
